"The limits of my language are the limits of my world."
-Ludwig Wittgenstein
About me
My name is Beth Queeney-Dressler and this is a picture of me with my daughter. My German born husband and I are doing our best to raise her in two languages. Not only do we juggle our two languages at home, but we also move between our three cultures, not including our host country, Thailand. You see...my husband was born in Germany, I was born in the United States, and our daughter was born in Australia. Our daughter is a citizen of Germany, the USA, and Australia and I hold both American and Australian citizenships. We consider Melbourne to be "where we are from".
We are very fortunate to be part of NIST International School in Bangkok, where I coordinate both EAL (English as an Additional Language) and Language across the elementary school. I also work as the EAL support teacher for 1RG.
About COETAIL
This website is part of my final project for COETAIL (Certificate of Educational Technology and Information Literacy). In addition to this website, I maintain a blog which outlines my COETAIL journey.
Thank you
A special shout-out and thank you to my friend and colleague Tosca Killoran - the mastermind behind this website. NIST is incredibly lucky to have you as a member of the community. Thank you for always being ready to share and help!
